Electrical fence

Over the years, electric fences have become popular home security solutions in Mauritius. Many homes in Mauritius, Reunion, and Madagascar can be seen with CQ-Tech electric fences around their walls. When the electric fence is touched, an electric shock is created; this shock is very painful and uncomfortable, but it is not fatal. The shock is strong enough to knock out a criminal as they attempt to jump over your wall, giving you plenty of time to alert us.

Detection and Deterrence

Electric perimeter security fences deter potential intruders from entering your property, standing in their way like a physical and intimidating barrier. While the shock of these fences is not fatal, it is enough to stop most people in their tracks, thus delaying their attempt to steal your assets or materials.

Complementary with other systems

If someone attempts to cross the barrier despite the electric shock, high security options such as our wireless burglar alarms detect the presence of the intruder when they enter your property. In addition to detecting security breaches, intrusion alarms will also alert you to opening doors or tampering with devices.

Lower maintenance costs

Electric fences are made of steel or aluminum wires that have been covered with a protective material to prevent rusting. You don’t have to worry about damage from precipitation, and there’s no need to paint or re-stain the material like you would a wooden fence. The basic maintenance required by these fences includes checking for proper voltage in the wires with a voltmeter, preventing grass and other objects from touching the fence, and checking the connections.

Versatility

Almost any existing fence structure can be modified to include an electric fence component. It can be added to the top of a fence structure to deter intruders from climbing, or to the bottom of a security fence to prevent intruders from crawling under. It can be installed on cement walls, chain link fences and even decorative wrought iron fences.

Security

Compared to an intrusion deterrent like barbed wire, electric fences are a more secure way to secure your property. Barbed wire can cause life-threatening injuries, while an electric perimeter security fence delivers a non-fatal shock the voltage of which can be adjusted up or down.
